Umoya MwaAfrika is a brainchild and implementing arm of the Fokwa Tsafack Foundation (FTF). It seeks to:

  • Revive the true spirit of African solidarity through sharing, fostering unity and solidarity among African communities.
  • Tap into authentic traditional African systems of organising to rethink an economic model based on extraction and reverse the climate crisis.
  • Use storytelling to empower African communities to resist projects and activities that drive the sustainability crisis and increase poverty.
  • Restore hope to communities devastated by climate-related disasters.
  • Reignite the true African spirit of community and storytelling.

Umoya MwaAfrika was established as the operational arm of the Fokwa Tsafack Foundation to drive three core community-based projects with lasting impact across the continent.
